Full band line up for Brass in Concert 2025 announced
The Brass in Concert Championships, the UK’s premier brass band entertainment event, is back for 2025 with an unmissable weekend of top-tier performances at The Glasshouse International Centre for Music on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 November.
The 48th Brass in Concert Championship
Saturday’s Championship will see eleven of the finest bands take to the iconic Sage One stage, each offering a uniquely crafted performance devised to entertain. Among them are reigning champions Cory, alongside leading bands from England, Scotland, Wales, Norway, and the Netherlands. Frank Renton returns as compère, bringing his signature wit and insight to the day.
The competing bands are:
Aldbourne, Brighouse and Rastrick, Carlton Main Frickley Colliery, the cooperation band, Cory, Foden's, Flowers, GUS Band, Kleppe Musikklag (Norway), KNDS Fairey, Schoonhoven (Netherlands)
Youth Brass in Concert
On Sunday 16 November, the spotlight will shift to the next generation of brass musicians with the return Youth Brass in Concert. Seven outstanding youth bands will showcase their talents:
Elland Youth Band, Houghton Area Youth Brass Band, Lancashire Youth Brass Band, Lions Youth Band, Shepherd Group Youth Band, Wardle Academy Youth Brass Band, Youth Brass 2000
Brass. As good as it gets!
Nigel Stevens, CEO of Brass in Concert, shared his excitement:
“We’re absolutely thrilled with the calibre of bands competing this year. It’s especially exciting to welcome new and returning faces into the Championship – Kleppe Musikklag, KNDS Fairey and Schoonhoven – alongside Shepherd Group making their Youth Championship debut. That blend of fresh faces and established names is what keeps Brass in Concert unique.
There’s nothing like being in the room and experiencing it live - you’ll want to be there to soak up the atmosphere and see these incredible performances first-hand, plus to show your support for the next generation of brass banding talent - they’ll amaze you with their energy, creativity, and skill.
We’re also delighted to return to The Glasshouse, and continue our close partnerships with World of Brass, Yamaha and Banks Group to make it all happen.”

Want to be part of the action? We’re giving away a pair of free tickets to one lucky winner who correctly guesses which bands will be drawn to perform first for both Brass in Concert and Youth Brass in Concert. If more than one person guesses correctly, a winner will be drawn at random. Enter now via the Brass in Concert 2025 competition form.
The competition will close on Friday 9 May at 5pm, ahead of the draw taking place at the European Brass Band Festival in Stavanger. To catch the draw as it happens, make sure to be logged into the World of Brass livestream.
